We have extensive experience in federal trial and appellate courts litigating employment discrimination and employee benefit matters. This experience includes successfully defending employers in employment discrimination jury trials, as well as summary judgment and dismissal victories. We have litigated complicated actions asserting a myriad of claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, and the National Labor Relations Act, among others.
In addition to federal court litigation, our labor and employment lawyers have successfully represented clients in numerous state court lawsuits. These cases have included claims involving wrongful termination, covenants not-to-compete, breach of contract, invasion of privacy, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, assault, battery, and Florida’s whistleblower statute.
