The group counsels developers, land owners and entrepreneurs through the land use approval and entitlement process in connection with residential, commercial and industrial developments, often handling complex archeological, utility, environmental, subdivision and historic designation matters. Attorneys in the group regularly appear before local government boards and regulatory agencies on matters involving zoning, permitting and complex development problems.
The Group has substantial experience in the development of high quality affordable housing and "Green" building projects throughout Florida. Services range from Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Tax Exempt Bond financed projects to SAIL, SHIP, HOPE VI and similar governmental loan programs. The team also advises public and closely held companies and their principal owners on a wide range of development related issues, including structuring, planning, acquisitions and litigation.
