PDF Stearns Weaver Miller’s International practice represents local, national and foreign clients in many phases of commerce, banking, investments and industry. We represent and counsel foreign clients, including corporations, financial institutions, and individuals, in their commercial activities in the United States, Latin America, Europe and the Far East and assist our clients in both their inbound and outbound transactions and, in some instances, handle or direct their international litigation.
We also have experience in structuring and implementing favorable capital investments and preservation of assets. We offer foreign individuals and corporations counsel in connection with the complex issues which arise under the U.S. tax laws, and maintain relationships with tax advisors in many foreign jurisdictions. We are particularly proud of our success in resolving administrative and judicial tax controversies involving foreign clients at both the federal and state levels.
