Stearns Weaver Miller’s Governmental Affairs practice group provides day to day counsel to government entities on issues such as land use, real estate, affordable housing, litigation, and labor and employment. Our lawyers regularly supervise growth management reviews, concurrency audits, vested rights determinations and extensive compensable takings, and other land use and eminent domain litigation. We represent and assist local government agencies with drafting and implementation of comprehensive plans, land development regulations and interlocal agreements involving the coordination of growth management planning, delivery of governmental services, annexations, and incorporations.

The efforts of the Governmental Affairs practice group are fully integrated with other practice areas in order to provide counsel on matters surrounding developments of regional impact, rezoning, comprehensive land use plan amendments, coastal development permitting, eminent domain litigation, environmental permitting, audits and consent orders and constitutional issues.
